  • Chad Butts

    Owner — MS HFI

    Chad holds a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology (2004) and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science/Cardiac Rehabilitation (2001) from Ithaca College. Chad is the owner of enduranceWERX, a cycling coaching and fitting studio in NYC. Chad is a certified USA Cycling coach and Retul bicycle fitter. He has over 15 years experience coaching, testing, fitting, and consulting individuals. Chad is also a Triathlete and Category 1 cyclist, devoting many hours to training for his own goals. Most of all, Chad enjoys the time he spends with his wife Jessica and three children, Evangeline, Conor, and Jolene in Montrose, NY.

  • John Beardsley

    Bike Fitter & Coach

    John is a RETÜL Certified Bike Fitter and USA Cycling Level 2 Coach, racing road, gravel, and cyclocross with the KruisCX team out of Brooklyn, NY. He started into training via the New York Cycle Club’s A-Classic SIG program, and in 2016 was a founding member of the NYCC Racing team. John loves racing a variety of disciplines on and off road, with highlights including a win at Battenkill 2025, and an age group podium in the 100-mile at Unbound Gravel 2023. A 2008 graduate of Dartmouth College, John has called Brooklyn home since 2010.

Our Westchester location is a 3-minute walk from the Cortlandt Train station in Montrose, NY. Just a 40-minute train from Grand Central and 5 minutes from the trailhead at Blue Mountain Reservation, our Westchester location is perfect for those interested in MTB and gravel cycling. In addition to specialty brands including OPEN Cycle and Cleary Bikes (for the kids), we provide indoor cycling classes using the latest technology from Wahoo Fitness and Zwift. There is also a weight training area with a squat rack and TRX training system for cycling-specific training.

Our Harlem location is one minute’s ride north from Central Park on Adam Clayton Powell Junior Boulevard, between 117th and 118th streets. Newly opened for the summer of 2021, this location is an exciting new chapter in our more than ten year history of providing the best bike fit services in New York City. Look for us downstairs by the Citi Bike station!
